What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a philosophy, science, and art that focuses on correcting interference in the nervous system, which is called a subluxation. Through specific gentle chiropractic adjustments, the brain and body body can better communicate and function at a higher level.

I've never been to a chiropractor before, what should I expect?

At Evolve Chiropractic, we pride ourselves on educating you about principled chiropractic throughout the entire process. On day 1, you will get a tour of the office, an exam with our neurological technology, and x-rays if needed. Your first visit will be approximately 60 minutes. Do not hesitate to ask any questions throughout the entire process as we will guide you through day 1 making your first Chiropractic experience as smooth as possible.

Do you accept insurance?

We are in-network with most insurance companies. Please bring your ID and insurance card with you to your first visit as we will provide a complimentary benefits check for you.

Will I get adjusted on the first visit?

Each and every case is different, so depending on the severity of your symptoms and the results of your scans and x-rays, Dr. Alec may find it necessary to adjust on day 1. Normally, our patients will get adjusted at their second visit after the Report of Findings. This allows Dr. Alec time to thoroughly review your case history, your scans and x-rays in order to give his best recommendations for you health care needs.

How much will each adjustment cost?

Each person and case is different. We will not know how much each adjustment will cost until Dr. Alec has had a chance to evaluate your findings and history in order to determine what care you will need.

How many visits will I need?

Every person and case is different. We will not know how many visits you will need until Dr. Alec has had a chance to review your history, neurological scans, x-rays, and health goals.

Will I need X-rays?

Every person and case is different. Your need to get x-rays depends on your health history and the outcome of your initial assessments. One of our mottos in the clinic is "To see is to know, to not see is to guess", and we never want to guess with you and your family's health. X-rays can be a vital tool that allows us to see the health of your spine as well as understand any limitatinons you may have for your adjustments and the healing process.

I am in a lot of pain, I was really hoping to get adjusted today?

At Evolve Chiropractic, we don't typically adjust on the first visit. It is extremely important that we have time to review you health history and complete our assessments to determine the best route of care for you. We are not willing to jeopardize your health or our reputation by rushing your treatment.

What is a subluxation?

The central nervous system is made up of your brain, spinal cord, and the network of nerves that run throughout your body to every organ, tissue, and cell in your body. A subluxation occurs when one of your spinal bones (vertebrae) shifts out of alignment, putting pressure on the nerves, causing stress and nerve interference; this ultimately leads to aches, pain and dysfunction in your nervous system leading to wide variety of problems.

Why do newborn babies and children need to be adjusted?

One of the biggest truamas in your life is the birthing process, leading to subluxation on day 1 on this planet. The adjustments for children are safe, gentle, and effective. The force used to make a correction to a baby's spine is equivalent to checking the ripeness of a tomato.

Do I have to get adjusted for the rest of my life once I start?

Our practice members who are under consistent principled chiropractic care tend to stay under care because they not only feel better, but function better on a daily basis. Every person has the right and choice to stop getting adjusted as they please.

What if I am transferring from a different chiropractic office?

We will work with your past chiropractic office to obtain your medical records so we can get a better idea to best serve you health needs. We are so excited to have you here at Evolve Chiropractic!
